Tweeting Exercise Canada’s oldest widget manufacturer is under major restructuring. National Widget Company announced the layoff of 200 employs across the country, including 50 at the head office in Victoria, BC. Employs were notified of the changes this morning at a company meeting. Canada’s oldest widget manufacturer is on the rise. National Widget Company is rehiring 200 employs that were previously laid off. National Widget Company has found a new market in China. National Widget Company was first to approach China and make a deal.   NWC was established in 1888 making it one of the oldest family run businesses in the country. National Widget Company is expanding. NWC will be opening a manufacturing facility in Regina, Saskatchewan, which will add another 100 employees to the company. With the success of the Chinese market NWC needed to expand in order to handle the extra capacity.

NATIONAL WIDGET COMPANY DATE January 15, 2018, 1230PM NATIONAL WIDGET COMPANY FUTURE IS LOOKING BRIGHT VICTORIA:   Canada’s most well known Widget manufacturer and distributor future is looking brighter then ever. Announcing a major restructuring including the rehiring of 200 laid off employees which will be called in as needed over the next few weeks, with plants operating at a full capacity within the next 6 weeks. “We have sent recall notices to all employees who were laid off in June. As a family-owned company, it was heartbreaking to lay off so many loyal people so we are thrilled to be offering employment to people we consider part of the family” said National Widget Company President Andrew Bryce.
